3. Vineyard Artisan Festivals: Celebrating Local Craftsmanship

Starting June 15, the Vineyard Artisan Festivals offer a glimpse into the island’s creative soul. Held every Sunday, these festivals feature local artists showcasing their handcrafted works, from pottery to textiles. It’s a celebration of creativity and community.

This June, the island commemorates the 50th anniversary of “JAWS,” the iconic film shot on Martha’s Vineyard. Events include screenings, discussions, and even a historic swim around the island by endurance swimmer Lewis Pugh to raise awareness for shark conservation.

On June 19, the island observes Juneteenth with events like the Inkwell Beach Party, celebrating freedom and African American heritage. It’s a day of reflection, joy, and community connection.
